How do you pair a wine with a house? Today I’m at 3198 Susan Ave in Marina CA and I am pairing this wine with Anthill Farms Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, one of my favorite summer sipping reds at a screaming good price, just like the awesome value of this 3 bed, 2 bath home in this beautiful sleepy Coastal beach town.
As you may know, Marina is a very cool, coastal site- with a gentle ocean breeze that holds the chill of the ocean. The town has a small-town feel, but with all the conveniences of being near major highways, great shopping, and good schools. Its location makes this house the perfect property to pair with this red since the winemakers of Anthill have a focus on cool, coastal vineyard sites to grow their grapes along the Sonoma Coast. The wine is full of tons of beautiful red fruit like cherries, with dried roses and savory elements and there is a great acidity that gives the wine a great vibrancy. I find this to be echoed in this house by playing off the several mature fruit trees and expansive space in the backyard. This backyard, like the wine, has great energy to it, with plenty of room for the children to blow off their energy to give you peace and quiet in the evening.
This truly is a wonderful family home, in a prime family neighborhood, and is ideal to be enjoyed with friends and family and a fine bottle of Anthill Farms Pinot Noir. Thank you for coming along today, I hope you enjoyed the pairing. If you want to know more about 3198 Susan (or the wine!) reach out to us at the C Group- we’d love to chat! Cheers!
