Yo, yo, yo guys! I’m super excited to bring you a new series called Tips by the Sea- a collection of tips and tricks for home buyers and sellers with a backdrop of the beautiful Pebble Beach Beach Club.
First and foremost, I wanted to cover the basics- how to be the perfect real estate client. Just like any other industry, there are certain things that clients can do to make their real estate agent’s job easier, and get the most out of the relationship. Here are my top tips:
1. Have a clear understanding of your goals and communicate them early on. Us realtors need to know exactly what you want so that we can help you.
2.Prioritize your needs- what’s most important to you in a home? Location? Size? Number of bedrooms and bathrooms? Aesthetics? schools in the area? Once you have a good handle on what your deal breakers are, it’ll be much easier for your agent to find homes that fit the bill.
3.Have a realistic grasp on your limitations. This means having a firm understanding of your budget, as well as any other limitations that might come into play (like being tied to a certain school district).
4. Listen to good advice. Trust your agent- we know what we’re doing! We’ve helped countless people buy and sell homes, so we have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn’t. We’re here to help you along the way but we can only do that when you listen to the advice we give.
In conclusion, following these simple tips will go a long way in making your experience working with a real estate agent a positive one.
